Eg ....Nitro 6 10m Kite to USA is 714 USD = 600 Euro and the same Kite to EU is 795 euro = 943USD...A difference of 195euro-229USD...Now thats a rip off if there ever was....Kites should be even cheaper to the EU as the Euro is worth more than the USDollar in todays exchange markets anyway....Switch need to sorth this out....Then when Switch gives the 100usd discount the US buyers get the full 100usd discount the EU get the Euro equivalent ....84euro another rip-off.

Sales tax is included in the price. In my case it's 25%.

I bought zeeko hydrofoil which is based in Europe, and my price was about 17% cheaper than Europeans would pay because I paid no VAT because I'm in Asia. Yes European buyers get screwed, but has nothing to do with Switch

I agree with you, DIALS. Companies refuse to account for the stronger Euro when it doesn't suit them, and they do it when it does. It's not just Switch though, it's most of them.

Other major brand kites can be got for near the same price as Switch brand when they go on sale so trying to win over customers with no price benefits will be difficult especially EU buyers....2017 Bandits Rebels Evos and Cabrinha SB etc on sale can be got for similar money to Switch now days..

DIALS -- EU has VAT which by law is required to be collected by the Seller. In the US it is left to the individual to remit SalesTax for purchases where the Seller has not collected it. VAT in Europe is around 20% -- sales tax even in California is less then 7.25% -- that's almost 13% so if the kite costs 1000 you have 130 in tax. So not that bi of a difference especially if you consider the massive fluctuation in exchange rate -- companies typically use hedge factors -- just imagine the mess, headaches and complaints if prices would change weekly or daily. We had the EU tax authority collect EU 3 import taxes on a $10 T-shirt we had directly mailed -- so I would say Switch is doing the right thing when they not make their customer suffer through something like that.

On that note comparing prices for last years or even older kites with the latest model is really kind of silly.

The kites are great, well made and priced very attractively -- come kite in the US -- have fresh kites shipped here and take them home at the end of your vacation and enjoy the stoke.
