Hi all !

Luckely, i've got 12m - 10m - 8m Nitro 6 since 2 weeks, i gonna try to give you a feedback on the 12 and 10 that i already try. (23m-20 an 18m line lenght)
Just to clarifiy the context, i personnaly own nitro from v1 to v6, combatv1-v2, legacy v1-v2, and element v1-v3, so i well know the different caracteristic of each kite, let me know if you need some infos to choose your kite.

I gonna add some information in few day with more session ;)

What difference beetween v5-v6 ?

Size to size if found that the kite goes faster, turn quicker and is more "smooth" compare to the v5, that what i can say basiquely. If you want to use it for big air, i recommand the 23m line length, for freestyle 20m and for foil 18m line lenght (allow better speed control, upwind and downwind)

Construction :
They keep the bomb proof construction, similar spiderbriddle, similar material

Design :
I've got the "caribbean" version (like to call it like that) and the orange one, other guy on the spot found the blue/yellow very pretty

Windrange :
(Have to test the high end to talk more in few day)
Low end : Better stability and better relaunch in marginal wind (Test it on hydrofoil in 7-11knot -10m², see the movie below)

Relaunch :
Better relaunch for v6, here a quick vimeo in light wind on hydrofoil. In this kind of condition with v5, it was very difficult to relaunch or sometime need the help of a friend.. now it relaunch better in very light ! So good point :D

Feeling :
Global : better turning speed, kite goes faster and "smoother"
Unhook : same performance compare to v5, need an engage pop to give the best slack
Big Air : (coming...)
KL : Better turning speed, so better KL (try it in 12), have to test the small size to say more
Hydrofoil : Good for speed and up and down, good to jump, improve relaunch, ready for manoeuvre. My advice is if you prefer do speed on hydrofoil and big air, go for nitro --> only maneuver go on element (Like strapless on ketos hydrofoil)

Come in few day to add some informations.

What's your opinion of the V6 vs the Legacy for Big Air and Unhooking. Does the V6 give a bit of slack unhooked or does it continue to pull hard after popping? For Big Air what are the flying characteristics vs the Legacy?

Hi yak, i've have to compare more to say the truth, ;) but as far as i know n5 need an engage pop to have the best slack as possible. I personnaly land my first blind judge (handle pass) on Nitro4 16m, so slack isn't so bad ;)

Today i try le low end on hydrofoil, on 10m + 18m line lenght, wind was marginal from 7 to 11 knot.
What i found today is a better stability for v6 compare to v5, kite is allowed to stay in the air without falling + a fucking good relaunch hability compare to v5 !

Wind was really light, i add a movie to show you how it relaunch in light wind !

Re: Relaunch video
For the relaunches in the video clip, are you just pulling on one rear line or are you also pulling on an opposite front line? I usually find that uttering a few expletives also helps...

In this case, i use the reverse relaunch, i pull on both backline and when the kite is a little bit up, i release one side and let the kite going up.
In the video, the second relaunch take time because the foil was taggle in my front line

Been out on my 12m N6 3x now but in light wind where i really should have used my 14m N5 but ive been keen to use the new one.

I'll save a proper write up for when i have had some decent wind but what i will say for now is that everything feels just a little bit easier on the N6: relaunch, turning / looping, the kite just seems to fly better. Not to the point where you would burn your N5s but I think it's a subtle refinement.

I can hold my ground on a 141cm twin tip at 95kgs in about 14 knots but at my weight I think it needs 16+ to do any tricks. I got up on my foil board at 10 knots.

Hi !

Yesterday i try the 10m during a border cross competition in 20-25knot.

I realize to Kiteloop with my 10N6 and what i say is that the kite has got a better "ressource" (Don't know if its the right word in english, but kite go back quicly at twelve after the loop), turn faster and still fullpower loop ! :) So Kiteloop are easier, better, and stilkl powerfull. It change a little bit the timing of the second loop when i get down compare to v5 (With N5 you have to wait the last time to send you downloop, but now kiter goes quickly to twelve so i have to it quicker !)

Also try for big air, and still the same pleasure and hangtime ! Small video coming in next week.

Hello Queneseb:
Thanks for your post. Your first pic shows some of the changes quite well. The profile foiling change and LE tube curvature below the T3 (intermediate) strut in particular. Re-launch was a prime goal for the Nitro6 to make the kite more user-friendly while retaining the aggressive boost and performance for which the Nitros are known for...

What's the difference in weight in a 10m or other sizes?
