A quick check shows that 2015 rally complete is around $1300. Obviously dtmt missed the leading 1 in the dollars quote ;)

Actually I was doing a check because I was thinking about a 5 & the quote came up $1300 for kite, bag, & bar. Now it comes up $900 so I'm not sure what happened the 1st time

Is there any discount if it is picked up directly in Hong Kong (is that an option to pick it up there)?
I guess since there would be no shipping and the items include the "free shipping" price, it should be cheaper..

You could try and email Switch directly about that ;)

Considering that Switch customer service is great and first person so you dont have to go through a shop has inherent value. Also as long as the cost is significant less than all major brands with as good as or better performance and materials than who cares? I think eventually Switch will be a major player in the kite industry. My major concern is loyalty. I have been with switch from the beginning and love the product and philosophy of the brand. Even though they did away with the team rider deal I think there should be some sort of incentive for long time switch riders! There are probley only a hand full of us at the moment so give back to the guys who have been loving the kites since the get go. Otherwise when Switch starts charging the same as others were back to square 1.

For small parts the shipping costs are very expensive.
Example: Chickenloop line 14 Euro , shipping from UK warehouse to germany 13 Euro (only for a small bag with a line...)
Just ordered a kite bag and chickenloop line and payed over 20 Euro shipping costs.

I agree that the shipping cost from the UK to mainland Europe does not cover the load, it is too expensive for what it is.
Here we can send a bar for only 4 euro's...
But we propably have to pay more because of shipping from China to the Uk then to Europe, handling and warehouse costs will all be included..
cheers
dude :ugeek:

As a long time Switch customer I have to say I'm disappointed with the new shipping costs! $30us to ship
$15 worth of parts to Canada, $20 to states?! C'mon Switch! Reasonable prices, that's the whole reason some of us shop
with your company in the first place. Either the company is getting greedy or you realized your model is
unsustainable. Not a happy camper!

Btw, when I enter my Canada as my country the province won't come up in the window above, annoying.
