What's Next?

I'm bored now. The Element 6 and the Controller 4 have been out for ages and the Helium 3 is now out. What's next? I want new stuff!

Re: Controller 4

With those pictures above, when you join two loops you pass the grey line through the white one, then pass the tail of the grey line through the grey loop. That ends up with the grey loop inverted or twisted in on itself. That causes the shape you see in the first picture. If you pull the grey and w...

Do I want an Element 6 12m for foiling?

My local beach has a bit of a wind shadow so getting off the beach in light winds with my Element 5 10m can be a problem. Once out the wind often picks up to 15-18 knots so I am well powered up. It is easy enough to get off the beach with my Helium 2 15.5, but when the wind picks up it can be like s...

Re: Helium 3

I am wondering if the H3 has different bridles to the H2?

It's a bit of a nuisance dealing with the extremely long bridle lines on the H2 15.5. It would be nice if there was a mod for shorter bridle lines that I could make for the H2.

Re: Helium 3

Just because I couldn't be stuffed trying to read the previous post: I've got the 8 and 10m H3, and have about an hour on each so far. I'm 162 lbs and ride a 5'1" vader in the waves (don't do twin tips, not into strapless jumping, and never tried foiling). Had Element 5's (9 and 11m) and before that...

Re: Controller 4

I use the C4X 55cm for Elements 5,7 and 10m and a Helium 2 15.5, almost exclusively foiling. It's great for the small kite because I just have to point the bar and the kite goes there. It does take a little while to adapt to the faster handling. I have had a few minor issues. The bar grip got savage...

Re: Helium 3

PS I don't want a single strut Helium in the large sizes. The most likely problem to deal with in super light winds is the kite falling and not relaunching. In that case I want some struts to sit on while I self rescue. Sailing in a downed kite using a foil as a keel is kind of fun and the performan...

Re: Helium 3

Hearing about the Element 6, it sounds like a nice kite. Fortunately/unfortunately I have a full set of Elements and I'm not about to buy more just for the hell of it. What I would like is some thought given to the Helium 3 design so that there is a super sweet spot kite that could be the ultimate o...

Re: Kite bag

Just curious, why are you guys buying kite bags? The draw string bag is perfectly adequate for storage. I thought about adding a shoulder strap for carrying from the car, but haven't got around to it yet.

I kept one of my old kite backpacks when I threw out my old kites. I haven't used that yet.
