Re: Switch Element V6

Yes ^^^, you are most probably right about loosing weight/durability - launched a mates Reo the other day & it felt very light but then my mate told me about all the repairs he's had to fix on it.

Re: Switch Element V6

Finnaly got enough wind for my 7m E5, imo that's as good as drifting gets.
Somehow reduce the weight & the V6 could be the holy grail of wave/foil kites.

Re: Self launching 10m E5

I worked out what my issue was when self launching my E5. The position I had set my kite up for self launching, caused my kite to slide backwards a little & at the same time one of the steering lines did not have enough tension - this produced enough slack for the line to wrap around the very end of...

Re: Minimalist quiver with Element v5 11m and Nitro v5 7m?

IMO, the C3 can be made into a decent bar with a few easy mods & with the half price deal is excellent value. Of course the C4 is more desirable but you will have to pay extra for the privilege. I'm 73kg & have 10 & 7m E5,s - I find it a great two kite quiver without too much overlap. Riding surfboa...

Re: Is controller 4 in development?

A little info I found on another forum today. [Quote] Saw the bar (or a prototype) being tested by Felix the other day. Please don't ask me a million questions, here's what I could tell: new softer grip, didn't see a swivel above the bar, single line flagging which I saw working perfectly about 10 t...

Re: Switch Element V6

I think that's pretty cool for Switch to have a no BS approach to their customers, just about every other manufacturer would release a new model - even if the only difference was colour.

Thanks for the info Felix, I just ordered a 7m E5 :-)

Re: Switch Element V6

You probably jinxed yourself by selling that kite. I have a feeling Switch my be very busy on other fronts, like the mono-strut kite, new bar, etc., and don't think we can always assume a yearly model release. Maybe I can help you out. Last time I bought an Element, the new model was released a mon...

Re: Controller 3 Chicken Loop Line replacement

I have a spare, that I'd be happy to post (I'm in OZ).
Or you could possibly make one out of some dyneema.

Re: Switch Element V6

Thanks for the info Brett, I'll keep a look out on the factory outlet for the E5,s.
Then I'll know the 6 is getting close, hope they don't change it too much & somehow build it in a lighter weight.

Re: Switch Element V6

I have only been riding Switch kites for a couple of years, is that true that Switch don't release new models each year at about the same time ?

Luckily for me I still have my 10m & it's off season here in Oz, so I can live without a 7 for a few months.
