Re: Switch Rumours?

Well, I hears the monostrut was on hold in favor for other projects, so those must be a big deal. BarV4 being one of them, it shouldn't take very long for the next reveal I hope. Maybe something like the Apollo? Don't think the rearline trim bar rumour is reliable... But BWS is coming with a copy. ...

Re: Is controller 4 in development?

Or tie one more knot on your kite pig tail all the way out to make 4 knots. Been doing this for years. or adjust front or back lines with homemade pigtails. All a part of being a self sufficient kitesurfer who knows how to tune their new bar or after a rebuild. I agree with you to a certain extent ...

Re: Is controller 4 in development?

I think we have discussed this possible issue enough & it would be nice if switchdesign would chime in right about now.

I'm sure they have it sorted.

Re: Is controller 4 in development?

Agreed, easy to make your own pig tails - made mine out of 4mm dyneema but 3mm is heaps.

If you don't want to or dont have the time to make your own, I guess you could get a set from switch for the Controller 3.

I still can't believe there's no way to trim the new bar.

Re: Is controller 4 in development?

Surely there is somewhere to adjust / trim your lines ? I assume there is leader line coming off the bar. Can't you tie figure-8 knots in the leader to adjust? Hopefully, someone from Switch will step in and clarify. Surely there is somewhere to adjust / trim your lines ? Nope. the leader lines are...

Re: Is controller 4 in development?

Btw....am I missing something here, or is there no backline adjustment? edit: I checked a few times, and there is no backline adjustment... And for what it's worth, the 55cm bar weighs 1036 grams. :) I guess there's no backline because of the soft bar ends, how many knots are there in the fro...

I use a 55cm bar with my 7m E5, fly it on 20m lines - surf style.
Goes great, the faster the better imo.

Re: Element Tip Tangle on Launch

I've had about 20 self launching issues with my 10m E5, just as the kite rotates to launch - a rear/steering line gets wrapped around the very end/tip of the leading edge. Its a pita but I still love my 10m, I can tell when it's going to happen & just hit the QR & reset. If you can keep that rear li...
