Re: Chicken loop line replacement help?

Exactly! Thank you, that was helpful. I just did it successfully. Wasn't as hard as I thought!

Chicken loop line replacement help?

I ordered several parts to replace on my V2 controller that were worn. The safety/quick release line was an easy replacement, but now I'm on to the chicken loop line. The help videos start with a bar already taken apart with no line. Any tips for how to remove the existing line so it goes smoothly? ...

Back line knots on Element v4

I just watched the Switch.tv video on the Element v5 three knot settings. Since I'm on Element v4's which of the two knots that come with it would be considered the "standard" calibration? The upper (closer to the kite), or lower?

Greatly improved shipping time

Just wanted to give kudos for the increasingly speedy shipping to the USA. I grabbed a 5m Element V4 from the factory outlet 6 days ago and it just showed up on my doorstep in Vermont! Way to go Switch (and USPS and whatever Chinese shipping company got my kite the hell out of the PRC). :D

Re: Quiver connundrum: Element 5 or 7?

FWIW: I picked up a slightly used 2015 Axis Division kiteboard in a 133 x 40. I was hoping for their smallest size (128 x 38) but the dude at KHawk assured me that they ride small. I've been really happy with its performance so far. More pop than my Best Spark! Also, I finally completed my quiver! M...

Re: Quiver connundrum: Element 5 or 7?

I found a pretty good deal on a Nobile NHP 128x39 board (2014 model with straps, new for $299). I wish It was 38cm, but when it comes to 1cm is there really that big of a difference? Do you think that's a good size for me?

Re: Quiver connundrum: Element 5 or 7?

At your kilos an 128x38 would be more appropriate. That has become very apparent to me! I've found it difficult to find a men's board in that size. Everything that small is covered in pink graphics and branded as a "ladies" board. I don't really care too much about color, but finding it hard to bel...

Re: Quiver connundrum: Element 5 or 7?

I know this thread is old, but I wanted to update it to say that I pulled the trigger and ordered a 7m Element! I managed to nab the 1/2 priced bar deal on the last day. Now that I have a second bar, I can leave one set with the line extensions off. I still want a 5m Element as well, but for the tim...

Re: Bar saftey issue

I've noticed that my Controller 2 single line safety has been getting harder and harder to pull through the swivel. Sometimes when the wind dies and the kite crashes into the water (as it is known to do here on the lake), I'll punch out and wrap up my lines. I've been noticing that when the kite isn...

Re: Quiver connundrum: Element 5 or 7?

@onarope: Great point, I had never considered board size in the mix. What do you think would be a more appropriate size for me for a higher wind board? @naishdude: Ooh, I've never experimented with changing my line length! I suppose that would probably help open up the range on the 7 for me. I agree...
