Re: onepump (unipump) repair experiences

A quick tip to easier clamp seating. Floyd mentioned the plastic ring clamps that have to be muscled into place. The interiors of those clamps have a beveled side, that side should face the surface you are trying to make contact with. If you keep this in mind the seating process goes a lot faster. A...

Re: Nitro5 main bladder replacement (my observations and a q

Barry, yes pushing the valves out is nothing compared with reseating. I am not sure about trimming the flange, because you could accidentally cut through the valve, and due to how stiff switch makes their valves a partially seated valve will always push through. As for repairs depending on where the...

Re: Chicken loop line replacement help?

Can you please link the video you are talking about? The chicken loop should pull out after you push the metal pin out that is under the quick release cover. There are no knotts in the chicken loop.

Re: What nitro quiver to go with my 6m catalyst?

Well if the 10m is your biggest currently; I would start with the nitro 9 or 10m. You may be able to cover the range of both your 10m and 8m catalyst with one kite. See how you like it then decide on the next. Shipping is free if you're in the US so separate order is not an issue. I say this because...

Re: What nitro quiver to go with my 6m catalyst?

Go 14-10m for your weight. I'm 150lb with nitro 12-8m and element 5m. This covers 90% of the wind range here in PNW. I also have a helium 15.5 for those super light days. Back to the point you will have a good time on the 14-10 combo. The range on the new Nitro5s are pretty good. In fact you might w...

Re: Nitro5 main bladder replacement (my observations and a q

Windybrit, The tolerance on the valves are super tight. This is with all switch kites. It helps to have a hairdryer handy. I have to warm the fabric on the kite then use a dull butterknife to pry those things into place( being very careful). I'm surprised there are not more posts about this. I have ...

Nice review, too bad I already placed my order before your post. I prefer review videos of everyday riders in marginal conditions over those of pros in awesome places. Thanks for posting.

Re: Fun quotient, nitro vs legacy?

Fluidity, When I say it just kinda stays there, I meant to describe the kites drift directly after an unhooked jump when there is some line slack. The legacy stay in its position in the window, you know the kite is there waiting for you even after botched rotations. This is a little different then t...

Re: Fun quotient, nitro vs legacy?

I'm not sure a out the legacy needing more flying then the nitro. I flew the nitro 12m and legacy 14m back to back and they were both pretty stable. If anything the way the legacy just stays in the air waiting for your landing is kinda nice. It all depends on what you want to do. The real difference...

Re: Airtime Bladder Valves / Valve Trap

If you are in a pinch you can use the Dacron patch from the repair kit to cut a patch. See the photo below. Make sure to trim the two ridges on the valve flat so the patch can make a proper bond. My finger is pointing to the ridges in the pic below. Also the patch has to make complete contact i.e. n...
