Helium 4 wishlist

I’ve had 3 weeks at South Padre (in May) with my H3’s and I’ve been out 5 days at the Event Site in Hood River now. Both sites tend to have very up and down wind. A couple of times I’ve had both my H3 7m & 9m kites back down to the water in lulls making it a pain to get it relaunched, and not always...

Re: Best Helium 3 size for light wind relaunch?

I' ve got a simular quiver with 10m instead of 9m. For sure the 7M will launch the easiest for reasons you described. Although no kite will relaunch if the wind is too light. Here are some tips I use when riding in marginal wind. Always keep tension in your lines and save the kite at all costs. If ...

Best Helium 3 size for light wind relaunch?

I own a 7m, 9m, 12m Helium 3's that I use for foilboarding The 9m has been my go to kite. However three times I've had the kite go down and not be able to relaunch (and not for lack of trying), having to do a self rescue. Note other kite brands were also having trouble relaunching at the time. The w...

Helium 4?

I like to keep my previous version kites as backups for my current version kites. Presently an assortment of Elements are backups for my Helium 3's. Are there plans to come out with a Helium 4? I would rotate my old elements out with new Helium 4's.

Re: Helium 3 Kite Foiling Review

[ Hi JeromeD, what about the low end of H3 12m compared to the strutless? How many knots would you say you lose? My 13.4m strutless allows me to start foiling from 8kts, so I'm curious to find out the equivalent H3 that will allow me the same low end. As with you, I hate relaunching the strutless a...

Helium 3 Kite Foiling Review

I now have 1 kite foiling session on 7m (15-25mph winds), 5 on the 9m (10-20 mph) and 2 on the 12m (10-15 mph) Helium v3’s, enough to form an opinion. The only real negative I have for these kites is they are not Hindenburg proof. Most causes of falling out of the sky were operator error, specifical...

Re: 5m Element v4 vs v6 for foiling?

You have a lot of kites! Yeah I'll probably be unloading my Elements once I've tried the Helium's in the surf. Though I'm somewhat concerned about the "lighter" construction of the Heliums compared to the Elements, particularly as I sometimes drop kites in the surf here in South Padre Island due to...

5m Element v4 vs v6 for foiling?

Felix- I've read that for foiling for sizes under 7m (current smallest size for Helium v3), that we should be using the Elements. I have a 5m Element v4 with three struts. I've read that the 5m and under v6 Elements are one strut. Should I be investing in a new v6 or will my v4 work fine. (I've ridd...

Re: Switch 2018

With all due respect, if you're still "getting the crashes of death" foiling then you're still very much a beginner. I used to despair that I would never be able to handle power and the whiplash injuries were crippling. With more practice you learn that foiling is not much different to any other fo...
