Re: Which bars work with switch kites?

If you know what you are doing, you can make most bars work. You want a low V bar. And you might have to change the pigtails on the lines as some bars have a different setup there. I know for North/Duotone you had to switch the pigtails between front- and backlines. I have used a slingshot bar in th...

Re: WTF Switch

You forgot to add the fee of the custom broker. In Germany, the cost is EUR 6,- if you let DHL handle the customs process or EUR 0,- if you do it yourself. (Obviously this could change - guess it is a good idea to check with Switch before, to find out which carrier they are using). Considering I re...

Re: WTF Switch

The customer has always had to pay taxes and duties. I have always structured my purchases to stay under the limit. How could it be any other way? That is not entirely true. Up to 2018 Switch had a warehouse in the UK, so all deliveries within the EU were free of customs/taxes. For a period of time...

Re: Urgent Help - Customs Expenses (Europe - Italy)

It should be 2.7% customs and 22% VAT for Italy.
So EUR 516,77 after customs and EUR 630,46 after VAT.

If it is significantly more, then it is usually the courier charging you extra for doing the customs.

Re: Why you shouldn't buy a switch kite anymore

I bring it up because the mentioning of price. ... I never mentioned Bill. Not sure why you are bringing him up? You bring up this topic in about every other thread here and in pretty much every thread about Switchkites on kiteforum. So for you, it seems important. For me it is simple. In kitesurfi...

Re: Why you shouldn't buy a switch kite anymore

I certainly belive that buyers if returning products should not be abliged to fork out 100's of pounds to be able to return an item. Is that what you call good customer service? This sounds nice in theory, but also extremely costly. And these costs would eventually have to be payed by all the other...

Re: Why you shouldn't buy a switch kite anymore

For a kite that you didn't even develop. I wouldn't call that cheap. .... The other brands payed for the development costs ofcourse. But maybe the deal Switch got for using their designs wasn't that great, who knows. What makes you think the current designer for Switchkites got a bad deal? And real...

Re: Why you shouldn't buy a switch kite anymore

Not sure what makes you think I speak for Switchkites in this matter - because I am not.

If Switchkites put wrong customs and shipping information on the packages, they really should help you out.

Re: Why you shouldn't buy a switch kite anymore

How much can I expect to pay for a 12m nitro 7 with bar delivered to the UK. A delivered price, not a consult your tax department to find out the additional charges. Iā€™m too lazy šŸ˜‚ It should be 2.7% customs and 20% import vat - so about 23.24%. Yet somehow the kites costed less, with inhouse develo...

Re: Why you shouldn't buy a switch kite anymore

Not sure I got everything right. So first issue is the shipping costs for returning the item? I agree the fact that you have to pay the return charges, makes returning items less appealing. But this policy has been in place since the first day they implemented the return guarantee and it is written ...
