Re: Click Bar with Helium 3 or Element 6

Have you checked your line lengths at the fully powered setting for both bars? They should be the same. If they're not then you should adjust them. Typically the fully powered setting is all lines equal. I am happy to ride with shorter back lines because I like lots of power and I have long arms. Ev...

Re: Helium 4 wishlist

My experience is different. I get about 8 knots to 20+ from a H3 12m using a bar with 45cm of depower and 45cm of trim. I often use about 30cm of trim and rig the kite slightly oversheeted. I added two more knots higher up on the rear pigtails.

Re: C5X Control Bar

I see the safety line has bungy in it. I hate bungy safety lines. The bungy always breaks. I got about 20 hours use out of the C4 bungy. About the same for the warranty replacement. Maybe 30 hours out of a Cabrinha bungy. Even when the bungy has not broken it bunches up the line. Far better to have ...

Re: C5X Control Bar

If you know how to splice and have some spare leader line lying about, it's much easier and more elegant, and cheaper, to make some custom pig tails to the length you need when retrimming the bar. It's not as if you're doing it every day or every week.

Re: C5X Control Bar

I hate adjustable pigtails. Such a clunky solution. You end up with a big knotty piece of junk on the end of your lines. Far better to have adjustable leaders with knots inside the floats. Easier to adjust because the knots are not under as much tension as flying line adjustable pigtails. Easier to ...

Re: WTF Switch

I don't understand all the complaining. The prices are the same as they ever were. The 40-50% sale thing is a bit naff, but every other business does the same. I don't care. The prices are the same. The customer has always had to pay taxes and duties. I have always structured my purchases to stay un...

Re: Switch Element V6

Guessing it might be this. It looks a bit Helium like to me. I'm guessing Helium structure, Element weight and robustness. No pulleys. https://www.facebook.com/SwitchKites/photos/a.118277701558223/2570089716376997/?type=3&theater https://scontent.fmel7-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/69212346_2570089719710...

Re: New Kite Prices - over $1000

When I look the web site still shows a 30-50% discount banner. The kites I looked at are all under AUD$1000 (up to 9-10m depending on model). That's still half the price of the major brands for arguably as good a kite, if not better. I didn't like the "buy two things" deal, but I guess that could be...
