Re: 12m low end - differences between Helium and Element (and Nitro)

It's sad to say, but it's one of the worst kites I've had in my 15 years of kite experience. Bought it almost a year ago and I hate every time I have to kite with this piece of s*it. My 9m Wainman is way better in ALL aspects. Can you explain that in greater detail maybe? What exactly is wrong with...

Re: 12m low end - differences between Helium and Element (and Nitro)

BUMP (sorry)

Or maybe you someone can give me a weight comparison? How much does the Element 12m weight vs the Helium 12m?

Re: WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE FROM SWITCH IN THE FUTURE

What would interest me the most is what you guys have in the pipeline for now? Any news on the mono-strut or something else?

12m low end - differences between Helium and Element (and Nitro)

Hi, i am pretty sold on buying a 12m or 14m kite, but not sure which to choose? I weight 75kg nowadays and at my local lake the usual wind is between 5kn and 20kn, with many days that are around 10, where its difficult to tell if you will be able to kite (without ultra-light-wind foil stuff) at all....

Re: Relaunch Nitro vs Element

Thanks for your answer. I see now that i was comparing apple to oranges. It is unfair (and stupid) to compare a high-aspect 5-strut to a 3-strut kite like the one i used at the course. Struts add weight and it seems clear that the lighter kite will start easier in low-wind conditions.

Re: Relaunch Nitro vs Element

Ok, you are right. I am not expecting wonders, but given the conditions here it seems like a good decision to aim for a kite that has good relaunch capabilities. Now it seems like the Nitro is heavier (also sturdier, which is a good thing) than similar shaped kites of other brands. I am just a noob ...

Re: Relaunch Nitro vs Element

According to Switch all their kites relaunch easy peasy Not doubting that they SAY that. But than i read that the Nitro doesn't have the very best low-end. Now i am a beginner and have very limited experience, but at my first lessons wind dropped and was about10knt, which is something that regulary...

Relaunch Nitro vs Element

Hi, i am a beginner and am really sealed on the nitro. I am not that much into freestyle, i like freeriding more, but i think i would like really big jumps some day, so it seems like the Nitro would be a good choice. Also it is higher aspect and better for riding upwind. One problem is that i would ...
