Helium 3

I see the Helium 2 is out of stock because the Helium 3 is coming. That's a little disappointing because I just bought a Helium 2. Still, I'm happy with the Helium 2 and "...coming" usually means a few months away. So, what do we want from a Helium 3? Simply a better Helium 2 would be good I guess. ...

Re: Switch Element V6

Groan. There's 3 reviews. That's hardly "...all these reviews ...". Our local kite school has had a couple of Element 6 for about a month and has been teaching on it for 2-3 weeks that I have seen. Of course they're going to be good reviews. Anybody getting a pre-release kite is going to be a bit of...

Re: Controller 4

I was happy with the trimmer handle flapping the breeze. Once it got wrapped around the cleat. I opened the velcro on the handle and put it around the depower line and it's been there ever since. It works just fine there and never tangles. It's a good thing.

Re: Switch Element V6

Switch needs a demo program where you can test the new kite (12m) and then mail it to the next guy on the list. If you don't forward, you buy it. Switch have several demo programs. There's local schools and owners that use the kite. You can borrow them for demo and if you buy then the owner gets po...

Re: Controller 4

You might want to look a but closer at yours. My bar has 20m lines with 3m extensions. I can't imagine that they had a stray set of 23m lines lying around. PS Really liking the bar. It's a very good thing. Not sure what to do with my Controller 3 bars now. Love the soft bar ends. Love the plastic de...

Re: Switch Element V6

One of our local guys has a couple of Element 6. Pulleys, 5 struts, pointy tips. Looks nice. Somewhat similar to a Crossbow. Pulleys are fine. I have used kites with pulleys since the start of kiteboarding and one set of kites for over 8 years. Never had a problem with a pulley. I think pulleys make...

Re: Switch 2018

^^^^ that's why I went for the Helium. I haven't truly pushed the light wind boundaries yet and I would not be surprised if the lower limit is not that low. So far I have not been stupidly overpowered in about 18 knots of wind (although I am thinking through the process of building myself a long dep...

Re: Controller 4

As far as I can see the throw on the bar is not adjustable. You could add some kind of stopper to the depower line to stop the bar moving too far away. Either wrap lots of tape around it or some sort of plastic ball held with a grab screw. If you're creative you could shorten the depower line. It lo...

Re: Controller 4

The Controller 4 is really nice so far. Very pleased with it. For the future, I would like: - a "race" kit so I can have a long travel trimmer for use with excessively large kites when foiling - the parts available as spare parts so I can retrofit the chicken loop, depower line and trimmer to some o...

Re: Switch 2018

... My goal is to not to foil at Mach 10. I ate an awful lot of s**t learning to foil, so much so that I developed double vision that lasted for 4 months. While I’m now past that learning curve, I simply can’t afford more high speed crashes. That’s why my emphasis on kites that will fly in lower wi...
