Re: Nitro 6 with manufacturing mistake

Not sure about the Naish kites Faxie as I have never used one. As for the Nitro I will shortly post some pics of the exact location (wind was too offshore and gusty today to get out). Kites are being modified tomorrow with reinforcing at this location, so I will also post some pics of the work that ...

Re: Switch Element V6

Would love to hear some feedback from riders who have ridden both the latest Element and the Core XR5. Side by side they are a very similar looking kite and the read-ups seem to post similar flying characteristics. The XR is a fantastic kite so would be very impressed if Switch are giving Core a goo...

Re: Nitro 6 with manufacturing mistake

A clearer identification of the issue can be seen below. The first picture is taken from the underneath of my 2017 Nitro V6 12 m and it can clearly be seen that the tear in the canopy and wear mark runs parallel with the seam of the leading edge. When inflated and in its normal position the seam sit...

Re: Nitro 6 with manufacturing mistake

I have nothing to gain from bringing up this design fault. I am an avid supporter of Switch Kites and their products, having encouraged many of my mates to buy kites from Switch. Our local kite spot quite often looks like a Switch open day. My kites are new, the damage is not malicious. This is a we...

Re: Nitro 6 with manufacturing mistake

PART 2.... Today whilst I was today and about to go for a kite I thought that I would check my new (bought in November only used 4 times) Nitro V6 12m. I checked and found exactly the same issue has occurred (see photos below) as to my 10m Nitro. Directly below the stitching of the canopy to the lea...

Re: Nitro 6 with manufacturing mistake

I was skeptical about what had happened to this Nitro and put it down to user error....until today. I was packing my kite up and having read this post, was curious about the location of the "rub" point on my Nitro. To my horror I had the same issues of the kite fabric having been damaged in the same...

Re: Switch Element V6

Would love to see the placement of the 6 pulleys

I am assuming that by having so many it will improve the linear feel on the bar through a loop.

Edit from my previous post: North have kept pulleys on their Rebel and Evo.

Re: Switch Element V6

My first visual (on-line) of this kite and I immediately thought of the North Evo (pre 2018). If this kite is like the Evo then it is going to be one hell of a good kite. North's move away from the 5 struts and pulleys was an interesting move given the pedigree of this kite. A number of riders who h...

Re: Nitro 7

Cheers for that clarification Felix, and I definitely agree with not bringing out a new kite "just because". Trying to have a season turn-around on "new" models just to fit in with the big brands is crazy. The 6 is a brilliant kite and its going to be a tough call to try and improve on this one. Whe...

Re: Relaunch Nitro vs Element

I have am a Nitro rider and admittedly have never used the Element. I have never had a major issue relaunching the Nitro. It is not really that tricky apart from in light wind, but that is to be expected from any kite. Just grab your steerer line and gradually pull the Nitro around to the wind windo...
