Re: Nitro 6 Reviews !

Check your line lengths are the same with the chicken loop resting against the bar - that's what the kites are tuned for. Moving the cleat shouldn't affect this, but it's the first thing to check. Also if you moved your cleat down that means you have less bar throw, so less natural depower from movi...

Re: Does Controller 3 bar float

Stiff section to stop the lines from catching on the bar so easily. Agree that it'd be nicer if the whole thing floated!

Re: What nitro quiver to go with my 6m catalyst?

I vote 9-12. 6m - 10m seems like too big of gap to me. If you've been happy with your 10m catalyst and haven't been needing heaps more power then I don't see any reason to get a 14.

Re: Nitro 14M V5 review

Hi Sal, Sounds like the kite is too depowered. Don't pull in any trim in normal winds, and make sure all four lines are equal length when the bar is pulled in. Maybe make sure your bar throw isn't too long. I had the same experiences when I first got my N14 v3, but it doesn't happen now, whether tha...

Re: nitro5 16m hindenburging

Interesting I have had my 16 Nitro 5 out in some really bad wind conditions, ranging from lulling below 8mph and gusting to 20 and have not had any of this type of behavior. That being said I'm not kiting on inland lakes with shifty winds I am using the switch controller V3. All factory setup. I co...

Re: nitro5 16m hindenburging

When I first got my nitro 4 14m I experienced the same thing, but it stopped happening after a while. I think the fix was a combination of gaining skills at keeping the kite flying, and adjusting the bar/lines so there was always a little rear line pulled in when I let go (greater Angle of Attack). ...

Re: Element 3 or Nitro 4 for beginner freeride ?

PS - I pretty much only use the 14 when I'm being optimistic and dying to get out for a kite, or the wind wasn't as expected. Yellow arrows for Sydney Airport = 14m, Green arrows = 11 or 8. I'm 84kg, and my board is 138x43. I'd have thought that 11m should be fine most of the time for Botany Bay, bu...

Re: Element 3 or Nitro 4 for beginner freeride ?

I missed this discussion! I'm in Sydney too, and have a nitro 3 14m. I've never ridden the elements, but out of my 3 kites (8m Ozone Catalyst, 11m Crazyfly Moowii), the nitro is the highest aspect ratio. It's less forgiving than the other kites if I mess up a jump and land with the kite behind me. I...
