Re: SAFETY RELEASE FAIL

So apparently I will be receiving my retro now? Love the kites! Really? I was told I had to buy the retro kits for my 2 controller 2’s. When I explained that I knew someone who was supplied a kit gratis, and I thought that I it was their responsibility to make their bars safe I received no reply. S...

Re: Switch 2018

I have just come home from my first foiling session with the Helium 2 15.5 The wind was about 8-12 knots. In short, it was pure joy. The kite is a sky hook. It just hangs in the sky and lets you do whatever you like underneath. Nothing was difficult. All transitions were fun and easy. When necessar...

Re: What next? / No Removable Mono-Strut / Bye, Bye, Bill!

So is Switch committing to a strutless/mono strut design or not? It seems to me like Switch is completely missing the boat in this segment of the market. I wasted six months waiting for the Switch monostrut before Switch came on here and said they didn't feel like making one after all. Too bad, I b...

Re: Foil Kite - Data Point # 2

Well I've spent the last couple of weeks at my local spots in Southern California. More than half of the kiters are now foiling and the other half are thinking about it. One spot, Ledbetter in Santa Barbara, is now seeing a lot more activity as the foil unlocks a lot more days with low winds. All t...

Re: Any word on Mono strut and v4 bar??

Boy am I ever glad I gave up waiting for this kite several months ago! What a big disappointment. It would be nice to have some idea where they are putting all their efforts. Yes maybe a foilkite (not interested), how about a strutless LEI? Sad to say but I think I have given up as well. Heliums in...

Re: Replacement lines

Trying to replace one line would usually be problematic.... I suspect when line sets are made their lengths with in the sets are equal but approximate to the indicated set length (eg 20m ). I say this because I compared a new set with an older set and the difference was 450mm. Even allowing for shri...

Re: Any Single Strut kite news?

Just looking at the Liquid Force Solo v3 and they're offering sized from 3.5m upwards. It makes some sense to not make sizes that are well covered by the Nitro and the Element. It would be good if a 3.5m single strut kite were offered. That would be great for strong wind foiling and also make a goo...

Re: Pricing

Switch kites do come with a bag it just depends on how you define a kite bag. With $5 in materials and a sewing machine I simply added adjustable straps to all of my bags that allow me carry them on my back plus two for holding the bar. If your kite purchase decision is dependant upon the bag you s...
