Element 15 or Nitro 14?

I'm looking at getting a kite for lower wind days - I weigh about 70kgs so thought that one of the above kites might be a bit more enjoyable to ride than a dedicated lightwind kite. At the moment I'm probably leaning towards the nitro, but there's a few things that are stopping my pulling the trigge...

Re: Quiver connundrum: Element 5 or 7?

Width is more important than length. I'm about 70kg and I normally ride a board about 40cm wide, so I think you'd want less than that. The smallest sizes in most board companies ranges seem to be 38/39/40cm so the choices are going to be quite limited unless you go for woman's/kids boards.

Re: Quiver connundrum: Element 5 or 7?

Go for the 7 and if finances allow get a smaller board to increase the range further - 134 x 42 seems pretty big if you're only 55kg

Re: Switchkites LEGACY kite used by MJ in PKRA Tarifa

How does the power/range compare to the combat and how does this relate to the change from odd to even sizing? It seems a bit of a pain if you've got a pre-existing quiver of combats: say you have a 7m combat and you need something a bit bigger - 7/10 seems like a very big gap but 7/8 would presumab...

Re: Switchkites LEGACY kite used by MJ in PKRA Tarifa

So that means I can use it with a borrowed 4line bar in case I forget to bring my 5line bar to the beach? That sounds like a really cool feature, congrats Switch!! I'm curious with this 4/6 line set-up, do you just break up the V and attach it to front pigtails for the 4line setup at a guess ...

Re: Switchkites LEGACY kite used by MJ in PKRA Tarifa

Shape, light bar pressure, good depower and program looks very close to the naish torch, with some element of the north vegas in it. I really hope not. Is the Combat dead then? Can't help but think that if the legacy is advertised with properties such as "easy to use" and "light bar pressure" then ...

Re: not happy with the switch bar.

+1 on keeping the cleat as it is.

Oh-shits on the back lines would be nice, also below the bar connection for the fifth line with an emergency release for those times the line gets wrapped around the kite.

Re: Switch wetsuits available

Picked mine up yesterday morning. Got to agree with the others - they look great, especially the ninja on the shoulder. No wind, so I took it to the cable park to try it out - managed to land my first krypts but I guess its a little early to say whether the wetsuit has bestowed me with special ninja...

Re: Suggestions for Switch Control Bar

An option of a smaller bar would be nice. I'm thinking about getting a 7m combat, but I find the 13 flies just right on the narrow (45cm) settings so you'd want something narrower still for the 7. Below the bar attachment for the fifth line would also be good, for those of us that aren't built like ...
